KWIK-E-MART:

7-Eleven converted eleven of its stores to Kwik-E-Mart locations to tie in with the premiere of "The Simpsons Movie" on July 27, 2007. Here is a Kwik-E-Mart at 1380 Pear Ave. at Shoreline Dr. in Mountain View on July 8, 2007.

Here are some of the characters inside the Mountain View Kwik-E-Mart: Apu at the door, Homer eating hot dogs, Frostilicus (Jasper) inside the freezer, Maggie atop the Buzz Cola fountain soft drink dispenser, Ralph standing on a Corona Beer display, and Chief Wiggum atop the donut case. Photos taken July 14, 2007.

Four more shots from July 14, 2007: the Squishee (Slurpee) machine, a sign reading, "Every item guaranteed fresh or your money begrudgingly refunded," and two exterior shots at night. At the end of your transaction, the clerks (who all wear Kwik-E-Mart smocks) say, "Thank you, come again."

Four Santa Clara VTA buses passing the Kwik-E-Mart on July 21, 2007. VTA's North Yard is just around the corner.

KBHK-TV HOMER SIMPSON VAN:

UPN Bay Area (channel 44) had a remote broadcasting van with the likeness of Homer Simpson on both sides. (It advertises three episodes of "The Simpsons" on weeknights.) Photographed at their studios on Battery Street in San Francisco on June 26, 2006. That fall, Channel 44 became a CW affiliate, so I took these pictures just in time.

MMM...FORBIDDEN DONUT...

The Official Pink Movie Donut, taken July 9, 2007. I bought some at my neighborhood 7-Eleven store. The cake donut is sweet and moist, making it one of the best I've ever eaten. The pink frosting is thick and delicious, but it hurts one's teeth afterward.

THE HOMER:

Woo-hoo! I got a copy of The Homer, a Hot Wheels car based on the vehicle he designed for his half brother Herb, from an eBay seller. Two photos added 05/03/14.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD:

Springfield at Universal Studios Hollywood. Assorted views of buildings and characters shot June 14, 2016. Twenty-nine photos added 06/15/16.
