ABOUT SANTA CRUZ TROLLEY:Santa Cruz Metro had a Chance RT-50 trolley bodied bus numbered 10 that sat idle for a number of years. The Santa Cruz County Redevelopment Association bought the coach and gave it to a partnership of businesses and public agencies to start a shuttle service between downtown and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk effective July 1, 2011. First Transit operates the trolley, which runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day every 30 minutes between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. for a 25¢ fare.
