The Greenwich Street Stairs are a series of flights along the right-of-way of that thoroughfare which ascend the eastern side of Telegraph Hill to provide a pedestrian thoroughfare connecting Sansome Street and Coit Tower. There are a number of homes along the steps. I climbed them on January 2, 2011 and took these pictures looking upward and downward at various locations. Photos moved from another page 05/07/14.

MATTRESS ON MINNA:

This mattress lay in the gutter at Minna and Eighth Sts. in San Francisco on August 27, 2011. So what's a few stains if you need to rest? And can the police ticket a mattress for lying in a red zone? It gets a five star rating! Photo moved from another page 05/07/14.

MATTRESS ON I-280:

Here is the corollary to Mattress on Minna. I discovered this one at the on ramp from Cesar Chavez onto 280 southbound on May 1, 2018. My travels in San Francisco were such that I passed it a second time and was able to grab the camera. Four photos added 05/20/18.

THE PIZZA PLACE ON NORIEGA:

Located near the Ocean Beach end of Noriega Ave. in San Francisco, The Pizza Place has a mural of ingredients and foods out at the beach. STOP REQUEST:

On an N Judah streetcar trip August 27, 2011 I joked to my traveling companions that the first photo, in which a stop request cord is visible in the right foreground, would make the basis of a page containing pictures of such cords. I then took photos of one of the Stop Request signs within the car (Breda 1479). Photos moved from another page 05/07/14.

WILMA FLINTSTONE:

This female mannequin looks like Wilma Flintstone; just put the correct dress on her. (Fred was one lucky dude.) This was in the window of Out of the Closet at Folsom and Ninth Sts. in San Francisco on August 27, 2011. Photos moved from another page 05/07/14.
