NEW ORLEANS RTA BLUE BIRD BUSES:
Here's bus 1024 looking rather beat up as it lays over at the 21-Fontainebleau terminal at So. Claiborne
and So. Carrollton in February 1996. The 21 route was discontinued by 2001; it was a replacement for the
Lowerline branch of the Broad Street route which was in turn cut back to Washington Avenue. The 24-Napoleon
took over the Fontainebleau route, but only to Lowerline.
The original paint scheme of the Blue Birds was based on the NOPSI advanced design colors.
Bus 1036 lays over at the same location at an earlier time, probably 1990.
Bus 19 of The Lift fleet on South Claiborne near South Carrollton, early 1990s.
