'68 CAMARO:
My friend David Sanchez owns a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS that's very beautifully maintained.
The Camaro in an earlier blue paint scheme, approximately 1995. Note the Centerline rims.
The Camaro in viper red paint at Michaux Automotive in August 2002, still with the Centerlines.
September 4, 2004. The rims were replaced in 2003.
CUSTOM AIR CONDITIONING:
The Michaux brothers worked on Dave's Camaro during the winter of 2004-05 to install a cabrón air conditioning
system. Here are three photos from January 25, 2005 in which Julius has been applying outdoor curbing paint to seal in
the now-cleaned metal surfaces of the floorboards and trunk. As long as the interior was gutted anyway, why not undo
more than thirty years of rust? This shows the attention to detail that Carlos and Julius give to the vehicles they
repair.
Air conditioning installation is basically complete. A ventilation duct leads to the
rear window panel, and the duct will be covered with a standard household vent. New
stereo speakers will flank the vent.
HOW TO FIT A CLOCK:
Julius searched quite a long time until he found a clock that fits perfectly in
its console. This clock operates with its own battery so it doesn't drain the
car's. Most of the wiring, lighting, and carpeting is finished. March 31, 2006.
FINISHING TOUCHES:
Here are brand new Dunlop G/T Qualifier tires installed, and two views of the undercarriage of
the Camaro. Photos taken August 7, 2006. The car left the shop to go home a few days later.
ON THE ROAD:

OTHER CAMAROS:
This 1969 convertible was presented at a classic car show held at Pier 45
in San Francisco on 02/14/04.
