BART EXPRESS BUSES: Bus service to outlying areas of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties was provided under contract to BART until 1997, when new extensions to Pittsburg and to Dublin/Pleasanton made them redundant. Local operators took over the remainder of the express routes. Gillig Phantom 19095 at the new Dublin/Pleasanton BART station on May 10, 1997. The station was opened for service on this date.
