BART EXPRESS BUSES:
Bus service to outlying areas of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties was provided under contract to BART until 1997, when new extensions to Pittsburg and to Dublin/Pleasanton made them redundant. Local operators took over the remainder of the express routes.
Gillig Phantom 19095 at the new Dublin/Pleasanton BART station on May 10, 1997. The station was opened for service on this date. Route D between Dublin and Walnut Creek was turned over to the County Connection.
Gillig 19097 at El Cerrito Del Norte BART on route J. Later service provided
by Westcat as evidenced by Gillig 106 on April 3, 2004.
BART VEHICLES:
